We were asked to take a walk through the nature preserve on Oakland University's campus. I was so excited to experiment with digital design in non-traditional ways. I usually create from illustrator, but for this project, I hand sketched every element, and then digitally painted the picture together. The images as unfolded whole sheets create a beautiful landscape of the preserve, but folded into thirds, each piece still speaks highly for itself. I also wrote a small poem to put on the inside of the zine. I really wanted nature to be the main focus of this piece so I tried to leave the text to a minimum and let the images speak for themselves.
